Stage 1 The stages of treatment

This is a guide of what to expect while being looked after in one of our drug and alcohol rehabilitation centres.

Stage 1 Luton Rehab Centre

Stage 1 takes 2 weeks to complete. During this time a focal counsellor will be appointed to you. Your counsellor and your medical team will make an initial assessment of your needs. Psychosocial state of mind, and your current circumstances. From there we will produce an on going care plan for your stay and aftercare.

We fully understand addiction is an illness, and patients are not bad people trying to be good. But sick people trying to get well. All are staff are non-judgemental and most are recovered addicts themselves. So fully understand what you have been through and what you are going through.

You can become a volunteer (‘Buddies’) once you have finished 12 weeks rehabilitation with us and followed our 12 month aftercare programme. And regularly attended our aftercare meetings.

Buddies

share their own experiences they have had during detoxification and how they have remained clean and sober for the length of time they have. Buddies also introduce new comers to  the various self-help groups available to them.

Buddies will take you to meetings and instil the belief that success is possible and well within your grasp. After you have finished detox, you will be given a certificate and moved onto stage 2 of your treatment.
