The stages of treatment (Stage 2)
Stage 2. This is a guide of what to expect while being looked after in one of our drug and alcohol rehabilitation centres.
Stage 2 Luton Rehab Centre
Normally takes 4 to 6 weeks. We use the 12 step programme in most cases. In Stage 2 we introduce intensive treatment which include steps 2 to 5, which are as follows:
- Step 2 – Belief in others
- 3 – Trust and faith as tools of recovery
- 4 – The reality of the past
- 5 – Reality
Also as part of the intensive treatment we include:
- Anger management groups
- Peer evaluation reviews
- Goal setting
- Daily diary discussions
- Group therapy sessions
- One to one counselling (psychotherapy)
- Workshops on relapse prevention, anger management and relationships etc
- Lectures and video presentations
- Family sessions, women’s / men’s groups, and other ‘special interests’ groups that are incorporated into the programme
